Gallagher

by José Amador
MAXWELL: And now, simply because you demanded it, here he is: Gallagher!

(Applause as Gallagher enters. He places a mat onto the stage. Then he places a covered head on the mat. He now brandishes a bat.)

GALLAGHER: Folks, Iím not going to waste your time, Iím going to get right to it, folks. Right this minute. Thatís right. You ever wonder why they call them apart-ments? Great. Okay. (he reveals the head) This here is the head of Princess Diane. (he bashes the head to pieces) Thank you, thank you very much.

(He exits to a round of applause.)
